Welcome to Rocky Mount High School's Gryphon Theatricals!
Proud member school of the International Thespian Society as Troupe 8401, we've had an amazing start to our theater season and thank our community, parents, administration and teachers of Rocky Mount, NC who support the theater arts and our students in performance. We house a 260 seat black box theater where we showcase our performances equipped with a state of the art lighting and sound system, as well as dressing and sewing rooms where students learn production experience.
SAVE THE DATE FOR SPRING, 2018! We are in rehearsals for our Spring Musical, THE WIZ! We also hope you will join us for our original play written, directed and performed by the RMHS honors class on May 9th and our Theater Arts End of Year Award Celebration and Induction Ceremony on May 16th!
FALL, 2017 CELEBRATIONS! Another first for RMHS, Gryphon Theatricals performed our Fall Production "Little Women" which competed in Regionals Competition on November 3rd and the full play premiered at Rocky Mount High School November 16-18. Our Jo March, Jayna Uricchio, won the OUTSTANDING ACTOR award and she was 1 of 10 students out of 500 students who had competed!
Theater classes took a field trip to see RMHS theater teacher, Ms. Lundberg, perform as Elizabeth Bennet in "Pride and Prejudice" at the Imperial Center, as well as performed their own class masterpieces and designed their own productions.
